Harold Rohrs
Organist
ACC is blessed with the talent of Harold Rohrs. Harold was born and reared in Kentucky. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree with majors in chemistry and mathematics from Transylvania University and a doctoral degree from the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine.
Harold developed an interest in music at an early age. He began piano instruction at age six and started playing for services at his local Christian Church (DOC) at age 11. When his church purchased an organ in the 1950s, he began organ lessons in order to continue playing for services.
Harold was a professor/researcher at Drew University in New Jersey and continued to play the organ at various churches throughout the greater New York City area. During a sabbatical year in Norway, he served as assistant organist at the American Lutheran Church in Oslo.
Following 51+ years of marriage, Harold became a widower in February of 2014. He has two children and three grandchildren.
Meet The Ministry Team
Rev. Bob Brooks
Interim Senior Minister
In 1978 my pastor told me I should think about going to seminary and entering ministry. Forty five years I am so glad I decided to listen to his counsel. I have served in ministry as the pastor of many special congregations and even planted a new church. Serving the Ashland Christian Church (Disciples) as their Interim Minister is a wonderful way to close this chapter in my professional life. My ministry is founded on "You are welcome here. Your questions are welcomed. Your doubts are welcomed. We are in this together as God guides us."
Kara has served as Administrative Assistant at Ashland Christian Church since January 2023 and we have been greatly blessed by her faithfulness and talent.
Kara is married, has two grown children and is also the proud "Grammy" of two beautiful granddaughters.
ACC is blessed with the talent of Margie Heath.
