Church Leadership

Senior Minister

Pastor Ellie is new to ACC, and she is thrilled to serve the good people of Ashland Christian Church and to get to know the community. She grew up in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia as the eldest of five and a massive fan of the Hoos (joy does come in the morning!). Her interest in the ancient and medieval worlds combined with a desire to learn how to effectively serve her community brought her to the University of Chicago Divinity School. While in Chicago, she lived in the Disciples Divinity House and felt a calling to leave her Methodist roots and join the Disciples of Christ.

Her ministries over the years have included directing programming for teen girls and low-income families in Charlottesville and Richmond, and serving in jail chaplaincy, hospital chaplaincy, and in children’s ministry in Chicago. Most recently, she served as the Senior Minister of Northwest Christian Church in Seattle, Washington.

Pastor Ellie lives with her husband, cats, and beautiful new baby. She loves ancient history (check out this first century Roman apartment in the pic!), good poetry, and growing tomatoes.

Margie Heath

Church Organist

Margie’s professional life has been interesting and diverse. She began playing the piano at the age of six, the violin at eight, and the organ at ten. She went on to major in Music Performance in college. She has taught violin and piano both privately and at St. Catherine's School in Richmond. From 1988 to 2022, she played violin in the Richmond Symphony. Since graduating from college, she has held numerous church positions and worked as a freelance musician. She continues to play the piano at St. Catherine's School for chapel services, choir rehearsals, and performances. While she considers herself partly retired, she still enjoys maintaining her playing skills on her instruments.

Stacey Wilson

Music Director

Stacey Wilson graduated from VCU School of Music in 2000. Prior to joining Ashland Christian Church in 2015 as choir director, she sang with the Richmond Symphony and the Virginia Symphony Chorus, and served as a professional member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir for 17 years.  In addition to her position at ACC, she has been the performing arts director at Lakewood Retirement Community since 2004.  She and her husband, Ashley, live in Ashland with their daughters, Ava and Lily.

Linda Neale

Administrative Assistant

Linda Neale graduated from the Leinster Secretarial Institute in Dublin, Ireland. Her career includes working for civil engineers, architects, orthopedic surgeons, and as an Operations Manager for Randolph Macon College in the Office of Campus Safety for 10 years. She is married to Spencer and has 3 adult children, Spencer, Meaghan, and Schyler. Outside of work, Linda enjoys playing with her grandson, Weston, and traveling. Linda and her husband have lived in the Ashland area for 28 years.
